Volunteer Stewards needed for The Dame Dash
If dressing as a Pantomime Dame isn’t exactly your thing – the Hackney Empire and St. Joseph’s Hospice still need you! VOLUNTEERS are needed to help with the smooth running of Hackney’s first ever Dame Dash – registering Dash-ers, helping with last minute costume crises, patrolling the Dash route up Mare Street and being on hand at the finish line at the Hackney Town Hall. Participants who are ‘Dash-ing’ will run, walk or totter from St Joseph’s Hospice to the Hackney Empire, wearing the flashiest Panto costumes they can find. Volunteer Stewards will be on hand (and not in costume!) to make sure they don’t lose their way on the 1km journey up Mare Street. The whole event ends in a party in and around the Hackney Empire for everyone involved in the Event — Dash-ers and Volunteers alike. Dame Dash is going to be the glitziest, campest and most fabulous fundraising event – raising thousands of pounds to support the valuable work of two of East London’s best loved charities.
