Tours of the Olympic 2012 park
Hackney residents are being offered that chance to take a free bus tour of the Olympic Park, now called the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park from Wednesday 21 November. The Olympic site is being transformed into Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park a new piece of the city with state of the art venues beautiful public parklands and a year round programme of events. During the 18 month almost £300million transformation project people will be able to see the new Park take shape as the Legacy Corporation will host free public bus tours. The tours will begin on 21st November and run until the Park begins to open in July 2013.The tours will run on Wednesdays Thursdays and some weekends. There will be three tours a day until the spring when as the days get longer a fourth tour will be added. People living closest to the Park will be given priority when booking tours.
