Tavolone Pop Up 24th at Mother in Shoreditch

St John themed Tavolone with Marky MarketHi allFor the next iteration of our big table pop up dinners – Tavolone downstairs at  Mother – we have teamed up with  Marky Market to stay true to our motto ‘we only cook with the best ingredients we can get’. At four in the morning he’ll be at Smithfield market on our behalf standing next to to the suppliers for some of the best restaurants in town and he knows what’s good. In the picture above he is taking a break from running around the market- probably at 6am when most us are still asleep dreaming of steaks rather than having pint.Marky will source delicious Welsh lamb shoulder from Brecon Beacons which our Christiano will cook according to the St John’s food bible (which means marinating the meat for a day and for another day to super slow braise it). Christiano learnt the tricks for this while toiling at Canteen run by Fergus Hendersons wife.  The starter of leeks white beans is another St John’s concoction which our guests enjoyed on many occasions.  There will also be homemade Vanilla Ice Cream and a surprise summer cocktail.  Hope to see you there…….You can book via Eventbrite
