Catherine Beale, the author of Born Out of Wenlock will be at the Hackney Museum on the corner of Reading Lane and Mare St (right on Town Hall Square) this Thursday 19 July at 6:30pm to talk about Hackney’s connections to Much Wenlock and the town’s 1890 Wenlock Olympian Games that inspired the modern Olympics. It’s a Hackney Society Event and is free to members and £5 to non-members.
