Sunday Evening 9th September at Lumiere: Gregory Markopoulos screening (free event)

The upcoming screening for this week will be on Sunday 9th September commencing at 9pm. After our journey through Italian cinema we’ve arrived in Greece and will be introducing experimental filmmaker Gregory Markopoulos. ‘Twice a Man’ is based around the Greek myth of Hippolytus, who was killed after rejecting his stepmother Phaedra’s advances. Markopoulos beautifully unfolds his vision of the story in a 60’s New York setting. Encounters With The Obscure is looking forward to a relaxed Sunday cine delight.
