Sale of The Empress of India
I just recieved this email from Empress of India in Victoria Park Village

To all our loyal and valued customers of The Empress of India
After nearly five years of excellent business in Victoria Park village, we have decided to sell The Empress of India and have now handed over the venue to another London restaurant operator, London Ordinaries Limited.
The decision to sell was not an easy one and we are very sad to see The Empress go. However, the sale has enabled us to acquire two brand new, larger sites in the City and we are now focusing all our attention on launching these two new exciting venues.
The Prince Arthur around the corner from The Empress (www.theprincearthurlondonfields.com) is open as usual and we are continuing with our popular ‘Fine Wine and Seasonal Food Evenings’, the next one being Wednesday 15th June. Please click here for a sample menu.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you very much for your loyal support of The Empress since we opened in 2006. It has been a real pleasure operating The Empress and your custom is greatly appreciated.
Best wishes
Tom and Ed

Shame to see them go- was a great place to fritter away wages the day after payday! Will be interesting to see what London Ordinaries Limited do with this fantastic space fingers crossed for something a touch more affordable.”
