Real Nappy Week this weeks, lots of great events

There are lots of great events across Hackney as part of this which give you the opportunity to meet other parents using cloth, see the different kinds and try them out, get advice, redeem your £54 voucher from Hackney Council and have a go at making your own nappy accessories.  Find out abut all the events here.Disposable nappies are filling up our landfill sites at a staggering rate of 2 billion a year.  By the time they reach two and a half an average child will have used approximately 6500 nappies – which equates to over 10 tonnes of waste 40 black sacks per child per year or if you prefer a colourful image as many as 70000 double-decker buses stretching end to end from Edinburgh to London.”
