Rats living in Clapton Pond…

Here’s a funny story I thought I’d share. I was showing my parents around Clapton – the place I’ve finally decided to buy my first flat in – and was showing off the lovely fountain at Clapton Ponds, when out from the duck island emerged around 20 baby rats and their parents. My dad rather innocently said \Water Voles?” No Dad No. They are definitely rats.”

   Ha! I haven’t noticed rats around there before – but I remember being in Montpelier in France and they had loads of rats in the main park, near the Rail station, swimming in the lake to a rat island.
