We’re a rugby club founded and still based just off Old Street roundabout. More details and how to get involved can be found at www.oldstreetrugby.com or on Twitter @oldstreetrugby We run 4 teams ranging from the 1st XV who play the highest amateur rugby in the area in London 2 North East to the much more sociable 4th XV. All teams train at Haggerstone Park at 7pm on a Tuesday and Thursday under the expert guidance of our coaches led by the (some say) immortal David Bailey (Director of Rugby). All 4 teams also drink together at the Howl at the Moon on Hoxton Market after games We’re looking for players of all standard We’re proud to be from North East London and even prouder to be the anthesis of the rugger buggers of South West London. If you love rugby because you relish the opportunity to drink pints out of other gentlemen’s orifices then we’re probably not the club for you (and, if you’ll take some friendly advice, you’d probably be happier if you were just honest with yourself) Otherwise, though please come and join us – whether you’re a former England schoolboys player or a heroin addict just trying to keep busy on a Saturday afternoon, a City lawyer or Dalston artist living and working in one room! (Seriously, all of these character have been much loved members of the club at one time or another)
