One Pig, Dead and Alive
Accidental Records Rosie Sykes and Shacklewell Nights/Hidden Dining have teamed up for an evening of music food and debate around Matthew Herbert’s acclaimed and controversial Album One Pig (in which he records the lifecycle of a pig from birth to slaughter). “The evening will begin with a debate between Herbert Tim Heyward (Guardian Fire & Knifes) and soon-to-be-announced special guests. Then Herbert’s band will bring ONE PIG to life in a live performance centering on the StyHarp a new instrument which plays and manipulates the samples used to make album. After listening to ONE PIG’s life guests will sit down to a three-course pop-up restaurant meal in which among other things pork from the same family as ONE PIG will be offered. 15th December at Cafe Oto in Dalston Tickets are £57 each which includes entry to the pre-conert debate ONE PIG performance and a three-course meal restaurant meal.
