Ah, yes, I hadn’t had time over the weekend to post about it, but you all have figured it out. May’s Twee8 will be in a week’s time on the 15th, the third Wednesday of the month as per usual, at The Windsor Castle on Lower Clapton Road, as it is a newly-opened pub that was serving up local beer on its opening night. The food is supposed to be very good as well, as they have a proper chef using local ingredients. We’ll meet up at 7pm–I’ll be there shortly after work at the brewery, so I might even be early. I’m in charge of Twee8 for June as well, and I’m mindful that this is the second Twee8 we’ve had on Lower Clapton Road in a row, so we’ll be venturing out of E5 next month. 🙂 Here’s the address for the pub: The Windsor Castle135 Lower Clapton Rd E5 8EQ020 8525 1300@windsorcastleE5 on Twitter It’s a 5-10 minute walk from Hackney Downs and Hackney Central stations, and along the bus routes of the 38, 48, 55, 106, 253, 254 and probably some other buses I’m forgetting.
I’ll be in right at 7 pm, if not slightly earlier (I’m working at Five Points today just down the way) but I’ll have to leave at around 8 to go to a gig in Camden. Next month I’m hosting Twee8 again and I have the entire day clear! No gigs, no double-booking! I already have in mind the next pub as well. See you all tonight!
