  1. I had a feeling this might be the next venue!  Sadly I’ll be in a tent in North Yorkshire (oh glamorous me) but am really looking forward to visiting Clapton’s newest hostelry

  9. It is an impressive pub – enormous – good selection of ale – was very busy tonight – rammed!

  10. it was ridiculously busy. the queue was about five deep when i went in, so i turned around and went out again. tomorrow night though… Hopefully others will take note and decide to save the cricketers and lord cecil.

  11. They had a lot of staff on – but mrs21 was a little pissed off when female staff served two men behind her rather than her, so she came back to the table – I went up and go served fairly quickly – not sure if it is down to my pub skills or because I was a geezer
