Make a wet bag/washbag -18th April 10am

As part of Real Nappy Week 2012, Hackney Real Nappy Network are staging a take over of Fabrications on Broadway Market.On Weds 18th April you can drop in all day and find out about washable cloth nappies, see different models, try out putting them on and off and have all those questions answered.In the Imaginerium (Fabrications new education centre) you can join in workshops to learn how to make your own eco-friendly, bespoke baby-wear and nappy accessories from up-cycled textiles.Make your own washable wet wipes & wet bags With Hannah Lamdin from Love & LabourThis workshop will show you how to transform fabric waste into your own, individual washable wipes and a drawstring wet bag (for wet nappies while out and about)/ washbag.  Bring along any no longer used/remnants of cotton fabric and worn towel or fleece.  Some fabrics will be available to choose from.  No previous sewing experience required.10am workshop lasts 3 hours,Scissors, thread, machines, tea & cake provided.Please note; young babies are most welcome and we want this event to be inclusive and open to all, however if you wish to participate in a workshop it is not suitable for babies on the move and there is not buggy space so please bring them in a sling/carrier.Find out more about Fabrications & the Imaginerium  here  www.fabrications1.co.ukFind more info on real nappies in Hackney here  www.hackneyrealnappy.net
