Live music, up and coming bands

Wheres good to catch up and coming bands, semi established bands, drunks, or just ear banging live music in Hackney? I know Dalston is the coolest place in the world but what else is out there?

   It’s a bit small but I’ve seen some good bands at The Drop, in the basement of The Three Crowns, on the corner of Stoke Newington Church Street and High Street. Ryan’s Bar, further down Church Street near the old Town Hall, often has some good live music.The Victoria on Queensbridge Road which opened late last year seems to be putting on some good stuff too.But in Hackney proper? Hmmmm… Nothing that I’ve ever heard about.

   I noticed that the Victoria had changed ownership. It used to be well moody. So Stokey it is.
