Caribbean Unplugged is a new night featuring the best of Caribbean entertainment in the UK (London). The night will feature a house band (Tropical Storm) and various acts both local and international gracing the stages of the event. Caribbean Unplugged will be aiming to start in the month of June and be a regular night once a month
Highlights of Caribbean Unplugged will be
· We will choose one random island per month to educate the crowd about speaking about the tourism aspect of the island and help boost the tourism industry for that specific island
· We will from time to time have international acts over depending on their availability of them appearing in the UK
· There will be a live house band performing a series of original and also covers of those Caribbean classics we all grew up to learn and love: TROPICAL STORM
Caribbean Unplugged is definitely a new night that you can come to and feel like you have gotten a taste of the Caribbean as the atmosphere will make you feel very comfortable and warm

Sudanese-Italian singer/songwriter Amira Kheir creates a sound inspired by traditional Sudanese singing and instrumentation blended with elements of Jazz Soul East/West African and Middle Eastern music. The result is a unique amalgamation of arrangements that give tasters of Sudan’s rich musical and cultural heritage whilst being reflective of our ever-merging world. Amira draws from her own multicultural background to create music that explores themes of home belonging and transcendental spirituality. To follow as ever we have the finest selection of Afrocentric dance floor killers will then take you (and your nyash) into the early hours of Sunday.

Adrian Roye produces richly emotive vocals and lyrical guitar playing in the vein of soulful singer-songwriters like Ben Harper Tracy Chapman and Jeff Buckley. Roye’s songs can veer dramatically in mood between haunting soaring and infectiously upbeat but explore narratives about conventionally marginalised characters and feelings. With a strong folk and afrobeat influence plus other roots genres making their way into irresistible mix as well.Will Robert’s honned his craft for strong groove-laden songs by busking around the UK as well as playing venues up and down the country as the frontman in various bands for the best part of a decade. Based in Cambridge but originally from the South West Wales coastline Will draws on folk rock and funk influences to develop his own brand of infectious guitar-based acoustic music.Caroline Trettine began her career as singer writer and rhythm guitarist for the Blue Aeroplanes. Going solo she was discovered by Billy Bragg and toured with him and Christy Moore. She has had an eclectic career experimenting with hip-hop making a dance version of Baudelaire’s ‘Le Voyage’ followed by an album of poetry and songs – ‘Ten Light Years’. In recent years she has written chamber musicals a string quartet beat songs satire and sonnets.

Every 2 months the nine-piece brass ‘n beats behemoth are inviting some of their favourite musicians bands spoken word artists and beatboxers to share the Attic stage to produce some truly unique moments. Ever wanted to hear crunchy electronica welded to a a six piece horn section plus sousaphone? A beatboxer going head to head(s) with two drummers? Some of the UK’s finest exponents of the spoken word mashed together with a nine-piece marching sound machine? This is the night for you.Hackney Colliery Band are rapidly establishing themselves as one of the most exciting live bands in the UK. Without a vocalist guitars keyboards samplers or drum machines HCB rely on nothing but air drum skins and shiny metal (and occasionally a megaphone) to create a huge sound striking visual presence and above all an incredible party atmosphere. SiSSi is the recording name of Austrian born singer songwriter Sissi Neumayr formerly of Ladyfuzz. Whenever (Love Song) is her debut release and it showcases her fragile emotive and unique voice. The Independent says that Oh Sister “the potential to be the next big thing on London’s music scene” and we wouldn’t argue with that. With honest lyrics and effortless guitar playing that shows the influence of quality Americana acts of days gone by this singer songwriter is definitely one to watch.Set against a music both gaunt and brutal swaggering and seductive East London two-piece Sullom Voe are quickly developing a reputation as a band going for broke. Led by Glaswegian singer Carson McColl and Iraqi-born guitarist Mo Al-Daami theirs is a new and unique voice; lyrically uncompromising and provocative.

A particularly beautiful and moving form of of music but with a driving force of an all-encompassing swing-beat and “killer” jazz feel.
