Jean Vigo Screening at the Lumiere 9th August

Joining in with the olympic spirit the first film will be Taris (1931), a short 10 minute documentary about the French swimmer Jean Taris. Secondly we will be showing one of his feature lengths L’Atalante (1934) a love story and considered by critics to be one of cinema’s greatest works.Encounters With The Obscure hopes to see you all there for the special treat. As always no admission fee and free popcorn.Address:Lumiere88 Chatsworth RoadE5 0LS
