Kate.Mitchell@hackney.gov.ukDate: Fri, May 13, 2011 at 12:08 PMHi all, Following my previous email I wanted to confirm that I’ll be running the Wildlife Recording Workshop on Thursday 2 June at 6.30pm (venue tbc but it will be in one of Hackney’s buildings, possibly Hackney Downs pavilion or the Hackney Marshes Centre, I should be able to confirm next week).

I’ll cover the introductory sessions, GiGL will be presenting about their work and how wildlife records are used, plus we’ll have some local experts to inspire you!
– why we record wildlife and how records are useful
– basics of recording – who/what/where/when
– what we have in Hackney and data gaps
– how Hackney work with GiGL (Greenspace Information for Greater London)

The aim of the workshop will be to provide people with enough information to start recording wildlife in your local site or area.

If you would like to attend please send me an email to register so I know how many people to expect. I’ll circulate a full agenda, including location details, in the next couple of weeks.

ThanksKate
