Hackney Hawks are back in speedway league racing for the first time since 1991. Their home fixtures will be shared between Lakeside (Arena Essex) and Rye House. Here are their fixtures for April.   2. It will be interesting to see if the Hawks can attract their own following as they will be leading a nomadic existence riding home matches at Lakeside and Rye House.

  3. Easy win for the revived Hackney Hawks on Saturday 66-25 against the USA touring team. Good to see former Hackney captain Barry Thomas (pictured on bike in b/w photo above) doing a couple of exhibition laps at the age of 60!The Hawks are away to Kings Lynn on Wednesday in their first league match.

  4. Hackney Hawks picked up an away point at Kings Lynn last night in their first National League match losing by just 2 points 45 – 47 in a last heat decider; Barry Evans top scored for the Hawks with 15 points.

    Hackney won their first home National League match in the sunshine at Lakeside yesterday, Shane Hazelden was top scorer for the Hawks with 12+1.
