Submit your listing for the Hackney Fringe Festival

Hackney’s own contribution to this year’s East London CREATE festival, now in its fourth year, starts 24 June and ends 25 July. Once again the Hackney Fringe Festival will promote local arts and cultural activities in the run up to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Hackney Council is compiling an online listings guide and is keen to hear from arts and community groups that are planning a cultural event in Hackney during the festival period.

Already in the stocks for Hackney during CREATE11 month are Nighthaunts in the bunker (2 July), when writer Sukhdev invites guests to a disused bunker in Dalston to read excerpts from his nocturnal journal and the Fashbash, a mini catwalk show at the Dalston Roof Park (24 July).

To enter your event into the Hackney Fringe festival guide, please fill in the Fringe Festival online form.

The deadline for your submission is Wed 1 June 2011.

For more information on the listings or to obtain a form to fill in please email Petra Roberts Cultural Programme Officer at petra.roberts@hackney.gov.uk or call 020 8356 7358.

A full-page advert featuring the Hackney Fringe will also appear in Hackney Today. To find out more about CREATE11 see www.createlondon.org.”
