Thanks to YeahHackney Twitter for giving me the ok to promote this. I’m very conscious of etiquette!

My name is Rich founder of Generationhackney a new social enterprise supporting local young people (aged 16-18) who are disassociated and at risk of antisocial behaviour.

Currently piloting, we take referrals from youth organisations and train young people to in ‘rewarding workplace habits’ before seeking local organisations to host them for short term work experience- or even work place visits. We help young people, who may not flourish in mainstream education, to recognise their transferable skills and how they can be utilised in the a working environment. We’re not about academic attainment but try to inspire young people by letting them access industries that interest them.

We need more employers to open their doors to a young person. We’ll help you all the way and acknowledge your support.

Work placements need only last one day per week over 5 weeks, we won’t ask you for the world.
