Dalston Darlings WI April Meeting

I got this from Dalston Darlings this morning: Dalston Darlings News (& lots of it!)Hello fellow Darlings, Firstly, as always, a big welcome to all our new members who joined at our last meeting. We hope that you all liked our new home Mouse & De Lotz as much as we do. Who doesn’t like cake and tea? Lots and lots of amazing things to tell you about so we’ll try to be brief. It’s our monthly meeting at Mouse & De Lotz, 103 Shacklewell Lane E8 2EB on Wednesday April 6th (7pm start please) with the fantastic Jo Beharia. You might have read about her in Sunday Times Style. Jo has set up an all-female DIY company called Home Jane. We salute them and their leader Jo, not only because they’re giving the proverbial two-fingers up to anyone who think women and DIY just don’t mix but because Jo’s coming into the Darlings to teach us all how to be as good with a hand drill as she is. Running her workshop ‘Tools For The Terrified’ Jo will cover:1) How to overcome your fear of a power drill 2) How to change a tap washer 3) How to unblock a sink 4) How to interpret builders speak Fab! As usual, please RSVP by reply mail so that we can make sure there’s enough room for everyone.Future meeting dates for your diary:Wednesday May 4th. Sex therapist Clare Murray will be on hand to answer all the questions we’re afraid to ask and then some.Wednesday June 1st. Mrs Jones – respected stylist and designer with tip top clients like Kylie (yes she designed that trouser dress suit from ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’), Scissor Sisters, Goldfrapp, Madonna and Rihanna she take time to stop by and talk fashion.ALL DARLINGS – please also email us your home address so that we can send out copies of the Women’s Institute magazine WI Life and also a WI membership card to impress all of your friends with.Love & Lemoncheese cake, Dalston Darlings x
