Dalston Bridge a new charitable fund

Dalston Bridge a new charitable fund

You may have heard about Dalston Bridge that launched earlier this month as they’ve been doing a great job at getting the word out, if not here is some info.

It’s a fantastic project that helps people make charitable donations in an easy way, by taking advantage of the area’s housing boom and night life.

As one of its launch initiatives, Dalston Bridge has teamed up with independent local venues including Dalston Superstore, Voodoo Ray’s, The Alibi, Ruby’s, Birthday’s and The Shacklewell Arms among others are serving the delicious Dalston Thing cocktail (ingredients below), with £1 of every drink going to the local charities supported by Dalston Bridge.

Currell Residential estate agents are also taking part and will be matching (or adding to) donations to Dalston Bridge from customers selling properties in their Hackney offices area.

The money collected will be going to a number of local charities: Hackney Pirates, Bootstrap Campus, Circle Sports, Hackney Winter Night Shelter and Studio Upstairs.

Dalston Thing ingredients
Glass: Highball
1.5 shots (37.5ml) golden rum
0.5 shots (12.5ml) melon liqueur
Dash of citrus
Top up with Ting grapefruit drink
Garnish: Wedge of lime or grapefruit

I will be chatting further to Dee O’Connell of Dalston Bridge soon, but in the meantime you can fine out more information at www.dalstonbridge.org or the twitter account @dalstonbridge
