CoolTan Arts Community Legacy Walk

Meet new friends, get healthier and be part of the excitement around the Olympics and Paralympics! This week learn more about  Hackney’s oldest surviving theatre (the Hackney Empire), Hackney luminaries buried in St John’s churchyard (some with mental health difficulties), the varied history of Hackney’s only surviving stately home, the Homerton Hospital with its fine art collection, Clapton’s least successful theatre,  stories from Hackney Marshes and much more! Meet at 12 noon outside Hackney Museum main entrance (across the square from the Empire, buses stop on Mare Street.) Our friendly guides will be there to meet you. Please wear sensible footwear, bring a bottle of water and some sandwiches. The walk will end at Hackney Wick station.
