Coffee crawl in Hackney

I posted this in the main section but here goes for keeping it all together. through twitter the blogger here contacted me last year – http://bit.ly/cL6lqq – its about central london but i reckon we could do something like this ourselves, a collaborative effort. i’m away mar 7 to may 18 but i’d be in for this as a project when i get back unless you want to go ahead without me. I’m happy to be the organiser if you want to wait for me. who’s in? AWL

  6. Dalston Superstore has Square Mile…haven’t tried it

  7. The Fat Cat Cafe in Stoke Newington Church Street sells its own excellent blend (strong, smooth, fruity) from Matthew Algie:http://www.matthewalgie.com/Super-friendly staff, great home-made cakes, fry-ups, and a complimentary bottle of (tap) water with every cup of coffee. Plus (unusually for Church St cafes) it’s open from 8am

  8. Betty’s is a new addition to Kingsland Road

  9. I’ve just moved to Dalston, and definitely keen to find some good coffee at some cool cafes…

  10. @mezraptor pick a direction, any direction, and walk about 100 yards =)

I like Wilton Way Cafe, Bettys and Tina We Salute You. There’s also Mouse and de Lotz.

  11. @goodlegs awesome, thanks for those suggestions. Will be sure to check them out.

  12. @mezraptor Bird cafe at the bottom of Bradbury Street by Gillett Square has recently opened. Very good espresso and smoothies – but a bit on the expensive side for this type of cafe. But worth a visit if you’re passing.

  16. Cakey Muto on Chatsworth Rd is a new fave of mine, along with The Expresso Hut, further down the road towards the Hospital.
