CLR James Library Dalston

http://www.flickr.com/photos/traxcitement/5508264613/sizes/s/in/photostream/photo by TraxcitementAnother Hackney building under threat. Built in 1957-59 to replace the original 1913 library in Forest Road that was bombed in WW2. Exposed concrete and d/g windows. Originally Dalston Branch Library. A new library has been built that will also house Hackney Archives but CLR James name looks likely to be lost with the old building.Campaign to save CLR James name here http://www.eastlondonlines.co.uk/2010/09/campaign-to-save-name-of-clr-james-for-dalston-library/Online petition here http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/saveclrjameslibrary/
