Chatsworth Road market consultation deadline Monday

Via: The CRTRA mailing list: Many of you will know that Hackney Council are currently carrying out a consultation on the future of the Sunday market.Right now the market is still temporary and the consultation is asking for local views on making the market permanent and increasing stall numbers. Other than increasing stall numbers (towards Millfields School) which would create opportunities for more people to trade and for the market to have more diverse products there are no other proposed changes. The feedback so far is almost 50:50 for and against meaning the market may well not exist into 2013. If you haven’t completed the consultation form yet or didn’t receive one please print off the attached  one pager and fill in your views. You can either post or scan/email it back to the council TODAY or by Monday (29 Oct) at the latest. If you would like the market to continue it’s important you make your views known. If you don’t want to see it continue come and talk to us – via  email at the market on a Sunday morning (830-1130am) or at our monthly committee meetings (next one 7 Nov). Thanks for your support.CRTRA

  1. I’m baffled as to who these 50% of people who are against it might be.  Indifference I could understand, but why would anyone be against the market? Anyway, I responded (positively) by email several weeks ago.

  2. oops! I got here too late
