  1. Great news. I’d love to see some traders post on here about what they’re selling so I know what to look out for on the day.

  2. @veganpeasant are you going to be there?

  3. 4. Good news! Should be able to get down there.

  5. The post for tomorrow’s market:Chatsworth road marketSee you all there :)”

  6. From the facebook page a couple of weeks ago:Yeah! Fortnightly markets on Sunday for next 3-6 months from March 20th. If the numbers all work out then a weekly market a real possibility after that.”

  7. Really good market. Got there early-ish when some of the stall holders were still setting up. Missed the Rushmore School market as I didn’t know there was more after the stalls – perhaps need better sign-posting? Seriously, best cake ever purchased from market (and some very good knick-knacky things)!

  8. Persian wrap and @veganpeasant burrito – yum 🙂

  9. I thought the market was very welcome as was the sunshine…

  10. Had a good mooch around the market, which remains a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. But I do hope the stallholders are able to set up earlier in future. 9am – 12pm is peak market mooching time for many and Sunday is becoming increasingly important to people for both work and personal things.Love the market – let’s get it open earlier!

  11. We wish we could have been there longer too! A representative from Hackney Council claimed that the limited trading hours (11am-3.30pm) was related to Sunday trading legislation – although my understanding is that restrictions don’t apply to markets. Hopefully we can get these extended in future.

  12. Re: the idea of starting the market earlier than 11am…do remember that Chatsworth Road is a residential road too, and people actually live and SLEEP there!. Although I think the market is brilliant, like everyone else, I do relish the idea of having a lie-in on Sundays. I’ve lived their for 12 years now, so never bargained for people underneath my bedroom first thing on a Sunday…

  13. The market is on again today, this time with a write-up in TimeOut (will that mean lots of \tourists”?). The weather looks to be great for it too! I just can’t wait to get some cake!”
