Capital Growth’s Edible Open Gardens Day 15th Sept

Saturday 15 September, 2pm – 6pm From The Dalston Eastern Curve Mailing List:The Garden is part of the  Capital Growth Network – the campaign to encourage food growing in London. As part of their Edible Open Gardens Day this Saturday we will be lighting the Garden’s clay oven and cooking pizzas throughout the afternoon.Capital Growth are also organising a number of walking and cycling tours on the day. The Hackney to Dalston Edible Walking Tour starts at Cordwainer Gardens at the College of Fashion on Mare Street – if you arrive at 2pm you can take part in a dye-making workshop. The walk goes through London Fields via an estate growing project takes in FarmShop on Dalston Lane and finishes at the  Urban Food Week Partyhere at the Garden where you can enjoy pizza and a Mojito made with Garden grown chocolate peppermint.The cost of the Capital Growth tour is £5 per person or £15 per person to include pizza and cocktail the first five bookings will get a £5 discount £10 for tour pizza and cocktail.Places can be booked with Capital Growth by emailing  seb@sustainweb.org please say if you would like to include the pizza and cocktail.
