Arcola Green Sunday this weekend

The next Arcola Green Sunday is part of the LEAF funded  Dalston Energy Angels project and we will be celebrating the Energy Angels’ achievements – where local residents have made improvements to their homes and got skilled up in energy efficiency where local builders have been trained in sustainability measures to make connections with potential customers. Hackney Co-operative Developments also received LEAF funding and the event will be a Dalston-wide celebration of energy and sustainability.

We’ve got an exciting programme with lots of activities discussions workshops and performance for everyone to enjoy. The afternoon includes a work in progress performance of GreenandPleasantLand by theatre group  Fanshen; an energy generation workshop with  Magnificent Revolution; a campaigning workshop about energy providers from Hackney and Tower Hamlets  Friends of the Earth; a curated conversation with  John Thackara; a drawing robot designed by  Matt Venn which uses energy data to create an artwork; performance from  Pete the Temp  and making draught excluders with  Transition Town Hackney
