2014 elections in Hackney 22nd May
This year’s elections will be a combined European parliamentary, mayoral and local elections on Thursday 22 May 2014
Local elections – voting for councillors for your local area or ward. There are currently 19 wards within Hackney, each represented by three councillors.
Electing a Mayor for the council – The Mayor is the political leader of the Council, overseeing the budget and all Council services.
European parliamentary election – Hackney is part of the London region which will be electing eight MEPs (Member of the European Parliament).
