195 Mare Street, New Lansdowne Club

195 mare street Photo by AmyI came across this article yesterday on twitter about the building at 192 Mare Street during it’s time as a squat. A personal account from end of 09- Aug 10http://london.indymedia.org/articles/7726I was fortunate to be part of an art show ( Gatsby) that took place in this building in 2002 while it was still the New Lansdowne club it was an amazing wood panelled interior the main room had a stage at the end with a glitzy backdrop ready for bingo.

  10. Hi,
Im doing an article on the history and current status of this amazing building, and i was wondering if any of you could give me some interenting details or anecdotes about this. Or even better, i would be more than happy to find someone that will like to be interviewed about the relevance of this building for Hackney.
