On the weekends Palm 2 now has an independent coffee seller out-front. He uses Monmouth. Yay for the little people 🙂

@ewebberDo you, or anyone else, know anything about this application (2013/3353) for 1st floor above Palm2;http://apps.hackney.gov.uk/servapps/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/Generic/StdDetails.aspx?PT=&TYPE=PL/PlanningPK.xml&PARAM0=204347&XSLT=/servapps/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/SiteFiles/Skins/Hackney/xslt/PL/PLDetails.xslt&FT=&PUBLIC=Y&XMLSIDE=/servapps/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/SiteFiles/Skins/Hackney/Menus/PL.xml&DAURI=PLANNING“Change of use of first floor of premises from Class A2 (fFinancial and professional services) to a cafe/restaurant falling within Class A3 (Use for the sale of food and drink for consumption on the premises) involving installation of fume extract ducting on the rear elevation of the building.”Sounds interesting.”

Looks like it’s formalising the informal events they’ve just started hosting:http://palm2.co.uk/event-space/ “
benjamin - 18 October 2013, 9:03 am
Thanks @robbieds I had no idea there was a functioning commercial kitchen there. I assumed it was just \space”. Looks interesting. I should pay more attention. @roselam1010 “
robbieds - 18 October 2013, 9:19 am
Err @benjamin, I think you are possibly the most attentive person in Hackney with all your observations!
louise - 18 October 2013, 12:00 pm
Wow, I walk/cycle past Palm every day and had no idea there was an event space upstairs – looks awesome! Thanks for sharing.
ewebber - 18 October 2013, 12:05 pm
@benjamin yes, have you see what @roselam1010 has been posting on here? She is the one behind all the events in the recently renovated space and I’m assuming the application @robbieds @louise it only opened recently, so you’d be forgiven for not knowing about it yet
louise - 18 October 2013, 12:06 pm
@ewebber phew 🙂
benjamin - 18 October 2013, 4:18 pm
@ewebber The drawings and Design & Access statements are now available online.The application is made by Abdullah Solak (who I believe is the owner of the Palm2 shop downstairs).It says it is to become “cafe/ restaurant selling organic and natural food /drink”. “
ewebber - 18 October 2013, 4:33 pm
Abdullah is the owner of Palm 2, but Rose is running the space
