New website a resource for local parents

A new website has been launched providing event and activity listings for families in Stoke Newington.
StokeyParents.com was created by local mum and journalist Jenna Fansa in a bid to save local parents the hassle of trawling notice boards and the web for venues and activities.
It features reviews of child-friendly cafes, summaries of local childcare options and schools, a forum for parents to chat or give away or sell items and a comprehensive listing of local classes and events. There’s a special section dedicated to what’s on during the Easter Holidays.
Jenna said: “Stoke Newington really is Nappy Valley – the area has so many families and so much going on yet, until now, finding out what was happening locally took a lot of effort.
“Becoming a parent is one of life’s most exciting, exhausting and sociable challenges – for us it meant really becoming a part of our community and relishing all Hackney has to offer. There are plenty of national websites which are a good introduction to what’s on but they really only scrape the surface of what’s happening for families within local communities.”
