Hello @king4acknee . Have read your Tales of the Old East End.  Brilliant! If there is such a thing as living history, you’re it!

Have you heard that there are plans to restore the old stone-built Victorian schoolhouse at Lea Bridge (aka the former Testi’s engineering works) and open it as a local heritage centre focussing on the River Lea and generations of people whose livelihoods have depended upon it.  You’d make a great guide. Thanks for the positive comments about my scribblings. I often take a walk along the Lea passing all the places that are now empty and soulless and find myself giving imaginary guided tours.  So if you see a strange geezer muttering to himself staring at something that is not there, that will be me!
